The KTEB are the unwanted children, the outcast left to fend for themselves for liking a video game deemed unworthy of appraisal, a video game you're not meant to enjoy—Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness. Banned from forums run by moderators with dubious neutrality, we built our own community, as well as a tribute to this game and its second playable character: Kurtis Trent. In a way, this site was initially created to shed some light on who he really is and who he was meant to be before the game got cut.

Years ago we resorted to free resources to build and run our community, which made it a hassle to keep a record of all our discussions—certain detractors took a liking to the 'Report' feature in an attempt to get rid of us entirely. A lot of KTEBers are avid fanfiction readers and writers, and consider constructive criticism essential to improve oneself. However, not everyone thinks the same, in spite of asking for honest feedback. We get ourselves in a lot of trouble...

Now we have a proper home, but it wouldn't have been possible without the help of several people who have helped by submitting information, articles, images, fan-made works, or simply by coding or supporting the site.
