A while ago the following image was posted in the the forums—it’s Dr. Trent, from Harvest Moon. Not only is it a KTEB inside joke to refer to Kurtis as a doctor, but also a conviction that he lives on doing something else, away from all revenge and life-threatening situations.

So here’s Dr. Trent being charming and talking about entering cows… in a competition!

The High Court published its judgment [sic] of a claim brought by a games developer against his employer over a games concept which the developer had created when he was freelance but which later he copied and effectively pitched to his employer as a new company project. The developer later sued for breach of copyright and confidence, in which we now know he was unsuccessful.

Sad news everyone—Rebellion Derby closed permanently today. Although unconfirmed by Rebellion, sources from within the company have already confirmed it.

Earlier this year Rebellion had problems and decided to lay off a few amount of workers at Rebellion Derby (which worked on two unsuccessful games after its transfer from Eidos/Core Design). Rebellion then decided to sell the Derby studio but obviously, due to the lack of any good games made by the studio and the harsh economic climate, that plan failed. So now Rebellion Derby has been closed. Along with the closure, a select amount of employees have also been laid off from Rebellion Oxford which was responsible for the recent “successfull” Alien vs. Predator game.

Primarily, it is “intended to provide background on the six volume series of novels The Shadow Histories.” But the site also includes content and information on other projects of his as a writer, concept designer, illustrator, CGI artist and animator. AoD is one of those projects.

As much fun as we had on April Fools’ Day (epic fun), it was no joke — and certainly not funny — when it was announced that Adrian Smith’s new company, Crush Digital, had gone into administration. It seems that London based company ReSolve Partners LLP has been appointed as administrator.

All we can say to all the people involved in the foundation of Crush Digital is: don’t give up. You have all our support, and we’re sure you’ll soon find inspiration and success again.
