Lara considers her metamorphosis from game heroine to household name as she hosts a birthday party and invites everyone who’s ever helped to carve a facet of her life, from beta tester to marketer. An entry in the ‘Lara’s Birthday Celebrations’ fanfic contest run by Eidos in 2007.

“The murmur of delighted chatter, chinking glasses and punctuating laughter, all overseen by the string quartet playing a medley of her theme tunes, filled the ballroom. It wrapped around Lara like a comforting cocoon as she stood, watching her party guests mingle.”
